Up-and-coming Esquimalt is just over the polarizing Johnson Street Bridge and a short and relatively easy commute to downtown Victoria.  With numerous oceanside walking trails (Saxe Point Park and Macaulay Point Park), the colorful and once-gritty Equimalt is booming with new developments and with it's close proximity to the Gorge and downtown Victoria, it is no surprise.
