Southwest of Victoria lives the charming seaside city of Colwood.  Royal Roads University and Hatley Castle (including some incredible gardens) are two landmarks that Colwood is proud to call home.  Recent development in the Royal Bay area of Colwood will see thousands of new homes in a master-planned community. Home prices are generally more affordable than Victoria and Langford with lot sizes generally being larger. Numerous options exist for condominium, townhome or single-family homes.  If a new build is what you're after, Royal Bay, with it's dramatic ocean views should be a definite consideration.  

*The only caveat needing mentioning is the unfortunately named "Colwood Crawl"...which is the term coined to commuters driving to/from downtown Victoria to the Western communities (including Colwood).  Traffic litterally slows to a crawl due to congestion.  Don't say I didn't warn you. But those views....
